Poets and Writers, around the world, have the right to use poetic license in writing! However, many Writers and Poets are not aware just how powerful accepting that right can be! Many who have accepted the notion and use their virtual poetic license have expressed their desire to have some outward and visible sign of that right. Not surprisingly, this desire crosses international boundaries. For that reason the International Institute for Literary Licensure in Poetics (IILLP) was created to confer and convey to qualified applicants a Certificate of License formally proclaiming their Poetic License. Why a physical Poetic License? We have found that when a writer accepts the title Writer or Poet, a transformation takes place that inevitably leads to greater production of work-product and recognition for that work. A physical poetic license substantiates the writer's verbal or mental proclamation. A Poetic License from the IILLP says of the individual writer or poet, "I accept who I am, and I am proclaiming it to the world with a physical Certificate of License." You can give this gift of recognition to yourself or provide this affirmation-of-self to your favorite writer or poet. Having your certificate of Poetic License beautifully framed and hanging it in your office, home (or garret) is a constant and positive reminder of your comment to yourself and your art.
